Steve Harney is the founder and director of Cool Kids Ministries, Inc. He is also a gospel magician, ventriloquist, puppeteer, camp speaker and has traveled for Group Publishing presenting Children’s Ministry Magazine Live Seminars and How2 Conferences all across America.  Steve is the creator of THE KIDZ STORM a high-energy, fast paced, fun filled family event used to reach boys and girls, dads and moms with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Steve is also the Professor of Children’s Ministries for the Antioch Baptist Seminary, a correspondence seminary for those unable to attend a regular campus school as well as Adjunct Professor of Children’s Ministries at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO.

Steve is the author of “Putting You and Your Children’s Ministry On the Spot” and travels throughout America conducting “On The Spot Training” workshops, teaching at conferences, presenting and writing for Children’s Ministry Magazine and serving as a ministry consultant.  He has an ability to implement procedures for worker recruitment and rekindle excitement while sharing the importance of children’s ministry, which makes Bro. Steve a much sought after speaker for teachers and teacher training.

With over 30 years experience in the ministry, 16 years as the Children’s Pastor at the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY and having also served churches in Missouri, Indiana and Kentucky he brings a wide range of depth and understanding to family and children’s ministry.

He and his wife Cheryl now reside in Union, Kentucky, a suburb of Cincinnati, OH. Rick, Steve & Cheryl first met as students at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. (Don’t hold that against them.)
